Wow. Just wow. The Cardinals are going to the Superbowl. I believed they would never make it. They were always mis managed, well under the cap, poorly led, poorly followed, and just bad bad bad. But here they are. Going.
This pretty exciting news, but there is a down side. Weeks of having to listen to Warner's wife on the radio and television here in Phoenix. Ug. Also, I'm deeply offended by Kurt saying that this was God's doing. What, God doesn't love the Eagles? Is it because their quarterback is black? It's all crap I say. I would love for someone from the Eagles to say, "well, we did all we could, but they had God helping them. It was kind of unfair, but there is nothing in the rule book about deities."
In other news, I hate my job. There. I said it. A dangerous thing to post on the web, but it needed to be said. It is nearly impossible to gain any traction on anything around here. When I first started, I was excited. They appeared to have a good system for taking new hires, educating them on the products and technologies here, and help them become productive immediately. But, it's been nothing like that.
Anything I need to learn becomes an exercise of finding people with the knowledge, then getting a fragment of information along with enough questions from them to redirect me to someone else (which was really more an effort in just getting them off the hook). Rinse and repeat. Ug.
In other news, it was a chaotic weekend at home. Linda's engine oil was leaking (a by product of a recent oil change), Kyle's power steering is shot (and also leaked over the entire driveway), and Katrina put potato peels down the garbage disposal effectively plugging up the kitchen drain. I managed to correct the leak in Linda's car, but the other two were just time syncs that I was unable to correct. Luckily, the world is going to end in 2012. I can't wait.
